From Tatiana herself…

If you are visiting this page, you most probably have already heard about me. Still, I believe the most interesting things about a person are discovered when they tell their own story.

I am originally from Belarus, and three years ago I moved to Poland. When I made the decision to move, I could never have imagined what an extraordinary journey God had prepared for me.

He gave me a wonderful husband who shows me God’s love every single day through his words, care, and the way he treats people. God also opened many new opportunities before me and helped me see my life and ministry from an entirely new perspective.

I sincerely believe that our calling always goes with us. It lives within us. And wherever we are, that is exactly where the opportunity appears to discover our potential, our gifts, and to reveal God’s nature through our lives.

Throughout this time, I often found myself thinking about two people from the Bible – Joseph and Daniel. Their lives became a beautiful example to me of how a person can influence and transform the world around them. Many difficulties appeared along their path, but they did not lose hope because their eyes remained fixed on God. And He did not fail them.

They followed the direction of His compass and accomplished extraordinary things. Their stories show us that no matter where we are, what crises or losses we experience, or where life leads us – God can transform everything in ways we could never even imagine.

In Romans 8:28 we read:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

After moving, I felt as though I had lost everything: my homeland, my ministry, and the people close to me. I felt as if I had been left alone – with a child and two suitcases – knowing only that I had to survive. At that time, it seemed to me that all I had left was His endless grace.

Today, however, I understand that this was only the beginning of a new and extraordinary journey. God “bestows on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.” (Isaiah 61:3).

The most important lesson I have learned from this story is to remain close to God. Because in the hardest moments, the most extraordinary thing is that God transforms us.

My prayers became deeper, my values clearer, my heart more sensitive, and my love for people more genuine and visible.

Please forgive me, dear friends, if my first post feels a little chaotic. There is so much I would like to say, yet feelings cannot always easily be put into words. Still, I hope this has helped you get to know me a little better.

Thank you for your kindness, support, comments, and perhaps even your questions. They will help me better understand what I should write about in my next post.

With love and gratitude for your presence in our lives,

Tatiana van den Berg
