Married!
After a blog at the end of December about “Plenty of action in the Van den Berg Family (De Poolse Bergen)!” and an announcement of our wedding on March 15, it has been pretty quiet on this site. And that while Tatiana and I were constantly getting questions along the lines of “So, how are preparations going?”, and after March 15 “So, how is life…?”
Well, those preparations, despite the fact that it was very busy and intense, actually went very smoothly. And the wedding day itself? Our plan was to have a limited celebration, but that plan failed terribly… My three brothers and sister with their spouses and almost all their children all wanted to come, Polish friends also left us little choice and so we suddenly had over 60 guests, a beautiful ceremony with Richard Nungesser, the pastor of Poznan International Church and founder of Bread of Life, who performed our wedding, followed by a party with basically everything that goes with it.

Over the years I slowly lost my understanding of the “old stereotypes” of happiness and joy in marriage – as I’ve been struggling far too much – only to now find out that our wedding day was absolutely wonderful and can easily be “the most beautiful day of our lives”. The involvement and emotion of everyone present was indescribable and almost every day we look back on that day with gratitude!

Just one day later we directly went, also according to the “old stereotypes”, on our honeymoon – fantastic – to experience more and more the simple and beautiful harmony that exists in “being there for each other…” It is simply wonderful. God is good!

P.S. We are still waiting for the actual pictures from the wedding photographer – as soon as they are available we will be happy to update this blog! 🙂
Congratulations on your wedding day and the festivities.
Blessings to you both on your marriage and ministry. To God be the Glory!!!
