Christmas in the Netherlands
After Christmas in a kind of survival mode last year, this year it was time for something new. The last time we celebrated Christmas in the Netherlands was in 2011, 12 years ago, and then only from Christmas Day. The Polish Christmas Eve is too special…! And our house was always open to guests…
How special was the experience to attend a Christmas night service for the first time in a long, long time, on the 24th at 11pm, and to sing the Christmas carols, which I last sang about 30 years ago .
And also for the first time in years we had a family meeting at my youngest brother’s on Christmas Day. What a party!
Times are different now. With especially at the Christmas season extra opportunity to reflect on what happened and about what is to come.
