As in the blog “Spread the word!” already mentioned, planning our trip to the US was anything but simple. But in the end it did us very good!
Playing tourist has never really been our thing - traveling to a country with close contact with the “locals” has so much more! And even though we had a very intensive program on the East Coast, in North and South Carolina and Georgia, with continuous presentations, dinner meetings, or any form of interaction, with continuous sharing of what's on our minds, it was so enriching!
For Maja and Jadwiga it was the first time to the US. The journey itself was quite tiring, but none of the three of us suffer from jetlag! First night some additional sleep and on the go!
Everyone we have met and who is now reading this: thank you for organizing meetings, for hospitality, for support, for new contacts, for encouragement and prayer, for commitment and the will to really serve together.
Once again, a deep, deep bow of thanks to our host families, the Freitags, the Hazens, the Webers and Denleys. You were awesome!
And a few days in Arizona at the invitation of the Nungessers: unforgettable! Both all the heartwarming contacts as well as our trip through the Red Rocks of Sedona to Grand Canyon. Never had an experience where our senses absolutely fail to comprehend the magnificence of a natural phenomenon. So, check.
